Amazon Associates & SMILE Programs
For those of you who already shop at Amazon, or for those who haven't tried it yet (no sales taxes in some states and no shipping charges for orders over $35; and often certain items are shipped free), this is a terrific site for buying most everything you can imagine, and especially magazine subscriptions, books, DVDs, CDs, Video or Audio downloads, Video on Demand (which is competitive in cost
and content with Netflix), Video Games,
Electronics, Cleaning Supplies, Groceries, Toys, Baby care products, and more.
Cat Tail Acres Sanctuary earns a varying % on all sales through their Associates
Program, and a significantly lower 0.05% for sales through the SMILE Program.
(Smile was started by Amazon to specifically help charities but is very
minimal, whereas the Associates Program is more beneficial. We were fortunate
to get into the Associates program before they made it unavailable to charities
after Smile was started. So, we get earnings from both now! Even if you only see
the word SMILE when you are ordering, we still get rewards from Associates.)
If you are already a regular Amazon customer, and esp. if you have one of their
Amazon Chase Visa cards to pay for your purchases (which gives you cash
back that you can also deduct from purchases so another benefit to you), you
can still use that credit card to pay for your purchases, but just remember you
MUST NOT access Amazon's website by going to it directly, and must instead
access it through OUR website (CatTailAcres.com). If you are on a computer or
pad, you will see our Table of Contents along the left side of our Home page. If
you are on a smart phone you will see three horizontal lines in the upper left of
your screen and will have to click on those lines to get to the Table of Contents
(TofC). You too will just click on the TofC item called "Shop & Save While We
Earn Money Too". At that link there will be a drop-down menu to take you to
either Amazon or Kroger. Once you click on Amazon you will get THIS page you
see now that has Amazon's ACTIVE LOGO LINK logo link, as you see here, which
will take you directly to Amazon. If you already have an account with them you
will get their sign-in page showing your user name and password, you will be
taken to the Amazon SMILE order page and place your order as usual. BUT IF
YOU DO NOT YET HAVE AN ACCOUNT you will create a user name, password
and will be asked to search-choose Cat Tail Acres Sanctuary as the charity of
your choice. Then you can go forward to place your order.
By signing into Amazon THROUGH the logo link here, all your purchases will be
linked back to our combined Associates & Smile accounts so we can make
